When I woke up in the morning they told me that today was back to school day. I get really confused in this camp… how can it be back to school day what does that mean??? Well slowly I started figuring it out. First things first, all activities today were called by their class. For example gym class, in gym class we played this cool version of gaga… what fun. We even got to play a prank on our teachers and we played this whole game with hiding our shoes… then we got this bag full of objects and we had to take tonz and tonz of pictures with all of the objects…. Oh and it had to be in an original way. I was so bizzzzzzy running around from place to place seeing what everyone was coming up with, I’m telling you it was just plain old nuts!!!!
After that we ran to cooking class. We didn’t want to come late cuz that might mean trouble…. ;) we made these stained glass cookies, I have never in my entire life seen n e thing like it before it was just way awesome. I had a very bizzy day running around the whole time from class to class. And then to top off my bizzyness we went all the way to Russia for night activity and then we had to try escaping, I’m telling you sometimes I think this place is nuts. The only thing that really bothers me is that camp is coming to an end, sniff sniff, and I still don’t know why this place is so awesome and I still don’t know if nuts can be Chassidim. Today I came to line-up late because my counselor forced me to take a shower, uchhhhhhhhhhhhh I hate taking showers. Well any way when I woke up I knew something xciting was going to happen today, but since I fell asleep early I didn’t realize that today was canoe trip day. Well I missed the ride with the ajc’s but baruch hashem I caught the ride with the cit’s, im telling u, canoeing is just about the funnest thing in this world. The whole day we just canoed and canoed and tipped and had a blast the only thing is I couldn’t be there the whole day cuz I had to run back to camp to see what was going on there…. So I ran like a little nut all the way back to camp and there I found the entire camp in the lake swimming what fun. After that they all hopped and jumped onto the busses and guess what they were off to bowling. Remember I’m a nut and I never went bowling before so it was pretty weird to c people throwing balls and knocking over these pins. U know u never even thought about the feelings of these pins I’m sure they are so insulted that u just throw things at them and knock them over….o well!!! I helped devorah (what was with the p0ny on top of her head???) well I helped her give out laffy taffy’s to all those strikers. When we got back to camp I helped with the bombfire and then quickly quickly I put everyone to bed I watched brhs production with the vip’s who cant control their lips. And then I ran ran back to the cit’s and guess what I couldn’t find them. It was pouring buckets I didn’t know where they could all be hiding until, guess what I found them all on the bus sleeping like little nuts!!!

Before I came to camp I decided that on visiting day I will go back home for a few hours. Although it was very hard for me to get here, remember all those planes I missed and stuff, but I really m-i-s-s my mommy so it was all planed out. But then came visiting day and that awesome carnival I just kept on pushing off my leaving. First I did that apple race, u know that one. Well it was really hard especially for me since I’m really small I had to kinda stick my head in and eat and make sure I don’t get all wet waoh it was just a hard job. Then I did all those other booths, and then guess what, u guys for sure don’t know cuz u didn’t see but my whole entire family came to visit me. My mom and dad, my sister sandy and my sister Samantha, and my eleven brothers, Zacary, Bill, Josh, steve, kyle, kurtis, jake, scott, saul, evan, and my little baby brother, skyler. Well they just all of the sudden pulled in with their pick-up truck as soon as I saw them I yelled so loud I was sure the entire world heard me. So there was no need for me to go home after all. And if I would then it could be that chief wally would get angry. I had so much fun with my family of nuts. I showed them all around. It took a while for them to get used to seeing people since they are only used to seeing nuts but they even got used to that. I was so sad that the theter ball was broken I couldn’t play with them, but I told them what a great game that is. When I took them into the a frame they asked me what “be a chossid” means. I had no problem telling them cuz that’s one thing I really learnt in this camp.
My only question is….. can nuts be Chassidim? SOMEONE ANSWER ME PLEASE!!!!!

Woah finally Friday, the week flew by way way to quickly! Thank the one above that it was lazy day. I worked like such a nut during color war I just needed that xtra few minutes of sleep!!! But then I was kinda disappointed cuz the whole day flew by soooooo quickly. After I had one amazing activity came clean, up then bedside inspection, and then guess what it was already time to go light candles. I hope the rest of the summer doesn’t pass by so quickly, u c I really came to camp on a secret mission that chief wally sent me on. He wanted me to find out why this camp is so amazing and why it has such awesome spirit. He also sent my friend Sam to camp tanugah to find out which camp has better spirit and which camp is more fun. I already know the answer, obviously this camp is better but WHY?????????????Chof Daled Chof Hey Av
So as I was saying camp tanugah never came it was one big fat lie AHHHHHHHH. Well it was a funny brake out ne way cuz the whole entire camp fell for it. Well then they told everyone what team they were on and they told me that I was on team blue and I was so xcited cuz I just wanted to be on that team. Well I found out my captain’s and stuff and then the action started. The whole entire day we played games against each other and did stuff to see who would really be better. I thought we were better they thought they were better, but that’s the point of color war. Then came the mini grand sing, is it grand scene or grand sing I heard people arguing about that, who cares they just argue about the dumbest things. Well then at night I finally got to be part of a graduation. Remember the first day I told u guys that I’m only ten, well guess what I got to graduate ha ha ha! From my little spot I got to see all those kids from the other team coming into the ohel, man I really thought it was the ohel for a second I was confused where I was. It was so cute to see that couple getting engaged ha ha ha!
Then I made believe I went to sleep and really stayed up the whole night it was amazing to see the way people worked so hard woah I was just blown outta my mind. But for the second day of color war I decided to switch teams. So when it came to learning Tanya by heart I was out there helping mushky Greenberg memorize all those lines…. the rest of the day was bizzy izzy getting ready for the real grand sing, grand scene whatever u call it. I was one of those little Kohanim and I sat from my spot and watched how those awesome astronauts took off and all of the sudden they lost connection with the control center how scary. But then they realized that really the Rebbe is here with us and his kochos and brochos are helping us throught this dark golus. Then it was my turn to perform (remember I switched teams) well I had so much fun playing on my flute and singing. Then the kohen gadol came up and said a speech woah it was so inspiring, and our banner was stunning! everything the whole night was amazing was just amazing and the best part was to hear that I won…. GO TEAM MATZASA!

Woah, do u even remember when Tuesday was, well I almost don’t, it was ages ago! Well since I’m only writing this letter on Friday since I just got out of bed (I worked like crazy by color war) it will take me a bit of time to write this so sorry u have to read so slowly. Well when I woke up they told me that it was birthday day. I knew I’m not crazy today is not my birthday, but if they say it is then fine let it be. I had so much fun by the birthday party, and they almost fooled me into thinking that it really was my birthday…. But then I remembered that I was born on Chay Cheshvan not on chof gimmel av. I then ran to the A-frame to make sings for camp tanugah, if I would’ve known that it was really color war I would never ever ever work so hard, and boy was I mad when they didn’t come but it was so much fun making that huge sign and coloring it man was I a bizzy izzy person. Then I finally got to practice for the actual game. I tell you that was the most amazing game I ever had!!! I’m telling you one day u have to play like I did, cit 1 and cit 2 against cit 3 and cit 4 then u are just a lucky person. It was a crazy wild game. But I tell you I had some icky feeling in me. Something was wrong the whole day cuz all the staff were smiling the whole day. And everyone was whispering I just didn’t know what wus up. So I stayed up till late late at night. And guess what all the staff had a meeting and those H.C’s told them that camp tanugah is really not coming. And after that the general and captains had meetings and stuff, I was so angry I cried myself to sleep. I WANTED TO PLAY AGAINST CAMP TANUGAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, I’m not even gonna tell you guys how I made it into the computer room. I had to make sure that every staff member was bizzy so that they won’t see me stealing the key and getting in. This is what happened: Well today was shtetle day it was really cool and when the day started off I really didn’t think I’d manage to get all this done. The a frame was set up like an olden day shtetle, I really thought I was back in one. I was afraid that there would be chickens that means there would be eggs too and that’s not good… remember why? Well any way, the first thing I did was make sure that CIT’s aren’t here, so I sent them off to laundry. That took care of a bunch of staff members. Then I sent half of the camp to the phone booth to call their mommy’s and tell them that they are having an amazing time. That took care of tonz of kids but that brought more staff members to the office, so I still couldn’t steal the key. Have no fear cuz Malka Tee and and Fraidy took care of the rest of the camp, the ones who weren’t by the phones and they made candy susheeeeeee with them (I never heard of that before, so I don’t know how to spell it) well after that I still had the problem of so many staff members all over. Well I sent a few of them to bed that always works. Then I ordered a hay ride and there were like 23 staff members taking pictures every time a ride came in and went out… and well the rest of the staff, I kinda sent them to make flower pots. And then the rest were being lifeguards by the pool. So that takes care of every single person in this camp. So I ran into the office and the keys were around chayale’s neck. She is one of the office girls that make all those announcements. So I went in and while she was so bizzy fixing the copy machine, (remember it was broken on Friday u got my letter like almost upside down) well while she was fixing the machine I grabbed the key and ran here to quickly type this up. Now I’m gonna run to the office copy this and put it by your Rebbe time persons folder so that she will take it and give it to you. What a crazy day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s NUTS!! The computer room is locked and I cant get in sooo I have to write my letter, but I always have spelling mistakes so don’t laugh. N e way today was international day and boy was it fun. We played this game that we had to find a counselor then we ran around from country to country. I liked china best and I figured out why people from china are so skinny, eating with sticks is hard!!!
We had this race that you had to trace everyone, I dunno I didn’t really get it, but it looked like a blasssst. Night activity was the best and I knew where the flags are cuz I cheated…

Shabbos is just one beautiful day! Friday night I was so excited when I got to light my very own shabbos candle…after everyone lit I counted how many candles there are, altogether there were 231 candles WOAH! That new niggun we learnt really touched my heart and I sang it the whole shabbos. Then came the Friday night meal. The whole time I was trying to figure out who would win shabbos, everyone was just so full of spirit! Then that dancing… I was so hot at the end I can’t even tell you… but it was good cuz after the dancing we got that yummy cold watermelon that drips up and down my elbow. Shabbos morning I got woken up bright and early by all those little kids shrieking in my ears. That sweet cereal was really yum. I wish shabbos would come to Kalkaska everyday! After the meal I finally got to rest up my weary bones. I got to play tether ball with h.c. Devorah, but she is really good at it, so I don’t think I will play her again cuz I’m really much better Mesibos shabbos was a blast. And by the way doofus and dorah was SOOOOOOOOO funny I couldn’t stop laughing! I held my breath when hachies were being called and I’m happy to say that every single person who won really deserved it! Slurpies were yum I managed to slip onto the bus unnoticed and I had so much fun on the bus the winners were such a lively group of kids. I must go to bed im tired all over again and I don’t to be caught on the computer in the computer room!!!!

Waoh its already Friday I cant believe it, it feels like I just came yesterday. I spoke to my friend in another camp and over there is already visiting day, ahhhhh I can’t think of camp ending already I must figure out why this camp is so good and I just can’t figure it out!!!!
Well today was glow in the dark day, something like that I’m still trying to figure it out. Well we played this ten mivtzoim’s game. We had to convince all the other bunks to do our maze it was so hard to convince everyone, but phew my bunk almost won. Then we got to decorate the van to look like a mitzvah tank. I almost thought it really looked like a mitzvah tank. I think I’m becoming a counselor, its not fare cuz they got these awesome sweatshirts that look so big on them I really want one, I think they could write my name, Hanume P. Mac….. I WANT ONE!
Today a really scary thing happened to me, I usually sneak into the computer room to type this up, I busted all the codes and totally made myself at home. Today I got some visitors. Rivky Weinberg the trip director was very very bizzy preparing for all the trips and Malka Tee was bizzy doing things too. Even Mrs. Lyphshitz managed to make it in here. They say that the computers in the back office died oh well! So I kinda had to type this up really quickly and on a computer I’m not used to it was pretty Nuts! I must go shower there won’t be hot water soon. See you all later by the meal!

I woke up really early so that I can blow dry my hair, after all today is picture day!
It took me a while to do, since my hair is really long, but that’s ok since I woke up really early.
They told me by breakfast that today was eggshrainu day. The only problem is that way back in 1825 eggs and nuts had a war. Obviously the nuts won, but the eggs think they won. So since then eggs and nuts aren’t on such good terms. But that’s ok cuz after breakfast we forgot about the eggs. Any way we played this really cool cereal game I was really hungry so it kind of worked out really we4ll I had such a hard time picking out all the cereals, but it was a ball!!!
Did I ever tell you that I love chocolate? Well we played cut the chocolate and I got so many pieces of chocolate then I melted them and dipped my pretzels in the chocolate and I even got to put all these colorful sprinkles on them, YUM!
Then came the highlight, pictures. I love when people take pictures of me so I decided to join all the bunks. I was running around like a nut and I managed to take a picture on the bunk bed, I got kicked off of the roof, on the lake u know all those cool places. Then I even joined the camp picture and the staff one. You guys must look out for when u get them I was wearing a camp t shirt that says be a chossid, but I still don’t know if nuts can be Chassidim, whatevah!
Wasn’t night activity fun? U c nobody ever ever found me in camp so it wasn’t a problem for me to hide and I knew nobody would find me…. Well I joined Aliza and Hindy in the dumpsters it was GROSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

I was convinced that today was color war what else can it be, the whole morning the only thing everyone was talking about was color, color, color. I waited through breakfast I got so scared when I picked up the red ball, but still no captains, no teams, nothing no color war. I just didn’t understand. I sneaked into the HC’s room, checked out the calendar and guess what today is COLOR DAY!!!!! And you guys will just havto wait and see when color war is ( ha ha ha I know) anyways as I was walking around I got confused again and thought it was Chanukah, but now that I know my way to the HC’s room I checked the calendar again and it still says Color day. But it says that during learning classes we will be lighting all different kind of candles. I had so much to do after that, I jumped into the lake, I rode around on those awesome bikes and I even sneaked into my hideout and unpacked but I still have twelve suitcases left. Then I ran like a nut to the shul they put me on the best team (duhhh) and I played the best game of kickball. This girl in the pink shirt, you know that one, she almost stepped on me I was so scared I ran away and I will make sure too stay far from her! I decided that for bunk night I will join the waitresses, I upset that they didn’t make it up on stage but I had so much fun banging on those bowls. I just couldn’t stop laughing at all those shows they were really, really funny! I don’t want to go back home I love camp and I want to stay forever. Its really crazy because today my chief called to ask if I figured out where the spirit comes from, still don’t know its nuts!

To my fellow nuts,
Ha! Ha! Ha! Buds thought they woke up first, well I have a secret, I was up at 4:30 watching the beautiful lake. I’m finally starting to get the hang of things, there are only 2 sides of camp, this side and that… and most bunks do have normal names…oh and most of all it’s called the A- frame not the Z-frame! I don’t know what my mother nut will say about this, but from now on when I eat applesauce I do it only with a stocking over my head, that just looked way too cool! While you guys were learning about all these awesome things, I sneaked into the office. Even that is confusing there is a front office and a back office, but don’t go, it’s off limits ( and it’s pretty hectic in there I even got trampled on). NE way as I was saying there are so many Head Staff in there I wonder what they all do in camp!?!? At one point of the day, I’m not sure what point the amazing HC’s let me unpack, I had so much to unpack I couldn’t even do it all, I had to wait till the middle of the night when all the action finished, it was just nuts!!!! I have so much to say I keep losing my breath and keep losing my place. So, so, so they shlepped me to the infirmary I was never in one in my entire life, I was just so scared. They put me on this funny thing that tells them how many pounds I have on me. I don’t get why they want to know that?!? Then they even wanted to know how tall, long and wide I am…. What interesting people!!!! At a different point in the day, not the same one as before, we put on some really quacky shoes with things on the bottom, we ‘slipped and slided’ all around this huge thing…. Whatever!!! Oh and by the activity at night, the one with friends, man I just had to hold my breath. I was hoping that everyone would get all the questions right hmmmmmmm I guess not everyone knows their friends… gotta run find out why this camp has such an awesome spirit I just don’t get it, it’s way, way, way, too cool.

To my fellow nuts,
You guys probably don’t know me cuz I’m new around the Nuthouse, so I’ll introduce myself. My name is, Hanume P. Mac, my friends call me MAC. I’m ten years old and I’m on a mission that chief Wally sent me on. My objective is to find the secret to the spirit in this camp. I entered this place at 23:04 hours precisely, and for the next 13 hours I peered out from my base, I didn’t see anything so suspicious, till all of a sudden I heard a low grumbling noise these massive objects were strolling towards me within seconds, hundreds of funny looking creatures that I now call kids started running in all directions. I was a bit confused as to where I was, I heard someone say that we are on the third side of camp she said that she was in bunk xwy and she sleeps in the Post Office ….. Hello where am I ?????? I got my hair checked they only found 13 live lice and 4 dead ones they say its fine, only if you have 33 you need to go home. After I wasfinally done with that it started pouring on me –it never rains in Gan Izzy it only pours so I hid in a suitcase under someone’s smelly socks and I was just fine. We heard so many speeches I almost felt bad for the kids, but then we were finally allowed to go to the Z- frame to eat all that yummy food. Only now do I understand why all the kids love coming here. I was thinking that things were weird in this place especially when the campers were supposed to understand what dabsisoehc means….. Thanks to the CIT’s they helped me figure out that I have to BE A CHOSSID! It’s getting late and after running from airport to airport I’m so zoooooooonnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkeeeeeeeeddddddddddddddd! Right now all I know is that I got my mission, I just gotta find the secret to the spirit in this place.
