1. Oak Park

Standard travel arrangements are for campers to be transported from Mishkan Israel, 14000 West Nine Mile Road, Oak Park, MI 48237, to Camp Gan Israel's campground in Kalkaska on the first day of camp. Campers should be at Mishkan Israel at 12pm for departure. For Detroit campers, luggage should be brought to Mishkan Israel the day before camp by 6:00pm.  Campers will be brought back to Oak Park on the day camp ends at 6am. For those picking up in Oak Park from the Boys Full Program should plan to be here the night of August 15th at 11 pm.


2. Drop Off / Pick Up Kalkaska

This option indicates that you want to drive your children directly to camp grounds, at 1450 Lake Valley Rd. NE, Kalkaska, MI 49646. You should arrive with your children between 3-5pm on the day camp begins, and pick up your children after 11pm the night before camp ends.

3. Detroit Airport (DTW)


Arrivals: On camp's start dates – June 30 - for the boys' session, and July 28 - for the girls' session. All incoming flights must arrive before 11:00am.
If a camper cannot arrive by 11:00am on the start date and must arrive the night before, we will be happy to accommodate you.  Flights must arrive by 9:00pm and a $35 fee will be assessed.
Any campers from the tri-state area or Girls from Chicago Milwaukee area, who choose this option when bus transportation is offered, will be charged $35. 
Departures: On camp's end dates, July 27 for boys and August 24 for girls, departing flights must leave between 7am and 10am.
For the boys’ full program ending August 16 - flights should be booked between 10 am and 2pm.



4. NY Bus - Girls, Roundtrip

Camp offers a direct overnight bus from Crown Heights to camp. Campers and chaperones ride in a nice, air conditioned, luxurious coach. The bus will be leaving on Tuesday, July 27th at 10:00pm, and arriving back on Tuesday, August 24th in the afternoon. The charge for this bus is $200.
Any parent who chooses to transport their child by plane, will be charged a $35 fee. 
Luggage must be limited to one suitcase and one duffle bag without wheels. No liquid, i.e. water bottles, will be allowed due to past experience with water damage to luggage. 



5. NY Bus – Boys, Roundtrio


Camp offers a direct overnight bus from Crown Heights to camp. Campers and chaperones ride in a nice, air conditioned, luxurious coach. 
For the first time we would like to offer a roundtrip bus for the boys full program as well, depending if there are enough campers signed up. We will make a final decision in approximately 2 weeks.
The bus will be leaving on Tuesday, June 29th at 10:00pm, and arriving back on Tuesday, July 27th in the afternoon from the Kalkaska Program and on August 16th afternoon from the full program. The charge for this bus is $200.
Any parent who chooses to transport their child by plane, will be charged a $35 fee.

6. NY Bus – Boys, Oneway

For the Boys session only, we are offering a one way bus from NY. This is a special offer for those who are coming for “Gimmel Tammuz” to NY, and going to camp straight from there. The bus will be leaving on Tuesday, June 29th at 10:00pm. The charge for the one way ride is $150.
For the way back from camp, they will need to book a one way plane, bus or train ticket from Detroit. Airline tickets should depart Detroit between 7am and 10am on July 27 or between 10 am and 2pm on August 16. 
Luggage must be limited to one suitcase and one duffle bag without wheels. No liquid, i.e. water bottles, will be allowed due to past experience with water damage to luggage.


7.  NEW!!! Chicago - Milwaukee Bus - Girls, Roundtrip

For the first time Camp would like to offer a direct bus from Milwaukee and Chicago to camp. Campers and chaperones ride in a nice, air conditioned, luxurious coach. 
This will depend if there are enough campers signed up. We will make a final decision in approximately 2 weeks.
The charge for this bus is $100. The locations and times will be posted very soon.
Any parent who chooses to transport their child by plane, will be charged a $35 fee.

8. Greyhound Bus Terminal

Campers arriving at the Bus terminal must arrive no later than 11:00am on the day camp starts.
If a camper cannot arrive by 11:00am on the start date and must arrive the night before, we will be happy to accommodate you. Buses must arrive by 9:00pm and a $35 fee will be assessed.
Departures after Camp, should be booked after 8am.

9. Amtrak Train Station

Campers arriving by train should book their ticket to arrive at the Dearborn, MI station no later than 11:00am on the day camp starts.
If a camper cannot arrive by 11:00am on the start date and must arrive the night before, we will be happy to accommodate you. Trains must arrive by 9:00pm and a $35 fee will be assessed.
Departures after Camp, should be booked after 8am.


10. Cleveland and Pittsburgh Bus - Girls


Once again this year, we will arrange for the NY bus to make a stop off the I-80 near the Cleveland area, if the need arises. On the way to camp the bus will pick up campers on the morning of July 28th.
On August 24th the bus will drop off campers in the early morning. The charge for this bus will be $90. 
Luggage must be limited to one suitcase and one duffle bag without wheels. No liquid, i.e. water bottles, will be allowed due to past experience with water damage to luggage.


11. Cleveland and Pittsburgh Bus - Boys

Once again this year, we will arrange for the NY bus to make a stop off the I-80 near the Cleveland area, if the need arises.
For the first time we would like to offer a roundtrip bus for the boys full program as well, depending if there are enough campers signed up. We will make a final decision in approximately 2 weeks.
On the way to camp the bus will pick up campers on the morning of June 30th.
On July 27th in the early morning from the Kalkaska Program and on August 16th early morning from the full program the bus will drop off campers.
The charge for this bus will be $90.
