FAQ

Registration

Are there scholarships?

Scholarships are given case by case. To request one, fill out the scholarship form during registration.

Families approved for the Summer Food Service Program receive $200 off. The lunch program form becomes available once your camper is accepted.

What is the cancellation policy?

Our staff plan year-round, and much of our cost comes before summer begins. As a non-profit, we rely on tuition to fund the whole year, so payments are not refundable unless your scholarship application was not accepted. To get a refund in that case, decline the scholarship offer within 7 days of being notified.

If your child is injured before camp and cannot attend at all, send a doctor’s letter by registered mail to the Registration Committee with a refund request. Refunds under this clause are capped at 66% of total camp fees due. The committee’s decision is final.

There are no refunds for arriving late or leaving early. Credit card payments are refunded minus the 3% card fee.

Can I request bunkmates?

Yes. The application lets you list up to 3 friends, and camp will try to honor at least one request.

Will I get updates while my child travels?

Yes. We email parents throughout the trip, including when campers arrive in camp, along with the chaperones’ contact information.

Medication

How does medication work?

If you noted any allergy or medical concern during registration, the camp nurse will contact you to go over the details.

During camp

How are birthdays celebrated?

On his birthday, your son will spend time learning and writing a pan, and camp provides a home-baked cake for his bunk at lunch. To plan something extra, ask us for the division head’s number.

How often do campers call home?

Twice during the summer. You’ll get an email the day before each call so you can be ready.

Can I email my child?

Yes, from the Parent Dashboard under Camp Today. The office prints emails every few days, as the schedule allows.

Can I mail packages to camp?

Campers can’t receive packages once camp begins. Ship anything ahead so it arrives before your camper does:
